I'm right behind you buddy... I should rephrase that.

Here's week two of my sketches and it hasn't gotten any easier. Still rusty, still late, and still missing some drawings. I gotta stop acting like this sketchbook is made of gold and just fill it up with drawings good or bad. It's only paper!

Alone again... naturally

Here's my second round. I'm missing one again... I didn't draw anything the day of our physical inventory at work.
Where are my brothers to support me?

The PI at Apple eclipses all...

but you will get my post by tonight, one day late, and yes, I kinda have an excuse.

Own up time was yesterday fellas. We gonna see something from both of you?

Hello my name is Peter Vien and I'm an aspiring Compulsive Doodler

Once long ago I drew... a lot. But as time passed I began to stray away from my true passion, DRAWING. So with this blog I will begin my journey back to being an artist first and everything else second. It will be a hard at first to squeeze in time to draw everyday but with the help of this support group, I will redeem myself and finally be able to say that I DRAW EVERYDAY.
Now for reality... For my first entry into this blog I can honestly say that I only drew 5 days out of the week and on top of that it's late. Sorry. Next week I will not only have some badass drawings (hopefully), but it will be submitted on time. No excuses.

THE RULES

So these are the rules and guidelines and clarification of purpose for Compulsive Doodlers Anonymous.

The sole purpose of Doodlers-Anon is just to make sure that not a day goes by that its members don't drawing something. The formation of habit is the key and only function of our group, and all that we will hold each other accountable to.

On a day to day basis these daily drawings will likely take the form of sketchbook-type stuff or just drawings & doodles done to satisfy our daily dedication to Doodlers-Anon. Real paid work, however, or schoolwork definitely count if that's the drawing you've done that day. One does not need to do extra work solely for Doodlers-Anon if it takes away from your regular work.

I would say that painting would qualify, or any sort of rendering of images with one's hands would do, and can be offered up, but not creating digital images or layout with a mouse, only because there's no physical practice exercising any natural hand-rendering skill in that. So if you've been clicking with a mouse all day, take a break and pick up a pen or pencil.

Posts are every Sunday, minimum of 7 images, put together or drawn separately, as long as you worked on something every day of the week. Doing make-ups the next day defeats the whole purpose of supporting the daily habit, so we're on the honor system, And everyone must come clean if they skipped a day.

Once again, the sole purpose is to be able to say that, yes, you draw every single day of your life. No matter where you are or what you're doing you make at least five minutes to dedicate an image to paper.

Hi my name is Zach and I don't nearly draw enough.

I know this isn't the required 7... so that makes 2 of us who failed. I've got 3 for week one, I'll catch up if the rules can bend. I guess we also have to figure out if I'm cheating because I am posting key drawings for an animation. What do you guys think? Should sequences only count as ONE drawing? I am excited regardless and I bought new pencils today.

Hello my name is Patrick and I am a compulsive doodler.

"Hello Patrick."

At least I'm supposed to be, but where's the proof? Well I'm very ashamed to say that I already failed the first week of Doodlers-Anon; even though I've got at least 7 here (my required Monday thru Sunday) I didn't get pencil to paper on Thursday, though I did put a little extra effort on the robot in a week where I didn't have a ton of drawing time.

Some of these are truly just stop-gags to stay on the wagon. Well it's a start. Next Sunday's post will be expected sharpish, no exceptions!
